The Republic of Moldova marks another important step in the development of green energy: in April, 36% of the country’s total electricity consumption was covered by locally produced renewable sources. This performance represents an all-time record and a significant increase compared to March, when the share of locally produced green energy was approximately 23%.

The biomass energy sector in the Republic of Moldova can be developed through fiscal incentives and legislative interventions, according to a study developed with the support of UNDP Moldova, financed by the EU.
